​​​​​​​​​​​Points Eligibility & Event Format – Dixie Shootout Series

  1. Championship Eligibility
    Drivers must compete in at least 5 of the 6 Dixie Shootout Series events to be eligible for a points championship. Final standings will be determined using each driver’s best 5 finishes.

  2. Regional Points Eligibility
    To qualify for Dixie Shootout Regional points, a driver must:

    • Compete in a minimum of 5 events within the Dixie Shootout Region, and

    • Compete in a minimum of 5 total races in the same division.
      Note: There is no Regional Points structure for Red and Blue Rookie classes.

  3. Competitive Class Race Format

    • A Main events will have a maximum of 12 cars.

    • If a class has 13 or more entries, lower main events will be run.

    • The lowest main will have a maximum of 11 cars, and the A Main will have a maximum of 10 cars.

  4. Rookie Class Race Format

    • A Main events will have a maximum of 8 cars.

    • If a class has 9 or more entries, lower main events will be run.

    • The top 4 finishers from each lower main will transfer to the A Main.

Tie breakers for points will be based on the number of A main wins. If there is still a tie after that, it will be based on the number of second place finishes, if a tie still exists then it will be based on third place finishes and subsequent finishes until there is no tie. If the tie is unable to be broken using mains, the tie breaker will be based on heat race finishes.
